Tutorial Videos
Hello!
I have been hard at work trying to bring you the next installment in my english saddle tutorial series but I have been hitting a few roadblocks- mainly due to the fact that the video is about 45 minutes long. So today I am regrouping, and will be splitting the video into two parts. I am hoping to have the first part of the video available today. In the meantime, take a look at some pictures of my latest projects!

Red Dead Redemption 2
I, like many people, had been anxiously awaiting the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, the latest open world game set in the wild west. Since its release I have been busy soaking up all the lovely scenery, building strong bonds with my virtual herd of horses, and whooping it up on the high plains. I have always been a fan of the Western genre, some of my favorite books and movies being westerns, and Red Dead has been a dream come true for me to live out the harshness of the wild west from the comfort of my own home. The western gaming genre has grown over the years, my first favorite being "Gun", a sort of spiritual predecessor of Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption, I enjoyed the open world game play much better than the original Red Dead Revolver, of which I could never get past the guy strapped in dynamite, not that I had to however since I knew there would be no reward of a trusty steed in which to roam the open plain in that game. Then came Red Dead Redemption, which in its own right was revolutionary and a beautiful game, though there were things that left me wishing for more- why can't I have more than one horse? Why can't I lead my horse? Why can't I brush my horse? All the same, it was glorious. Red Dead Redemption 2 has filled in all the blanks for me- and I am absolutely loving the experience this game gives so without further adieu, here are some in game pictures I have collected so far.

Studio Update
Hello!
We have been busy in the studio this year and I have worked on many new patterns and saddle styles. I am working on another leg of the english saddle tutorial videos, which will be coming out soon. We also now have an Etsy shop, so check it out! In the meantime, I thought I would do a quick post of mostly images of works in progress lately, enjoy!

Blog Realizations aka Studio Update
I was looking over some of my older blog posts and made a few realizations:
1. It is good to document progress because it is a gauge of how much progress you have made when looking back
2. I have some projects that take a long time to make and some that take less time, every project takes its own time and it will eventually be completed. This is a reminder for me not to be hard on myself for still working on things started in 2014.
Realization #1 is what led to this post, here is what is up at Yellow Bird Acres Tack!
I have been working diligently on two 2 toned close contact saddle sets for Bristol, these sets will include saddle, saddle pad, stud protector girth, bridle, breast collar, and full set of magnetic boots.
These projects have led to other projects, including these magnetic boots I finished this week:
Also on the go in the tack department is a Billy Cook Ranch Saddle portrait, a Portuguese saddle, and and a Tonino Lamborghini GP1 portrait saddle. The latter two are featured in my first tutorial video that I posted on youtube recently, it is a tutorial on how to make english saddle trees! Take a look and don't forget to Like and Subscribe to my channel.
I have many horses on the go right now in the custom department but notably, I am working on a portrait horse of the pony horse at my local track, Slicker! You may recognize the body as it was one I posted on my blog when I first obtained it, it is the ISH I posted a few years ago. I resculpted his face a bit to match Slicker who is a Paint.
The other custom I recently started on is one you met in my last blog post, the Pacer! He is coming along and I finished removing his halter last night.
