RIP Delta's Kaliko

It has been a difficult week at Yellow Bird Acres as we say goodbye to one of our closest friends and mentors, Delta's Kaliko. She passed away peacefully at the ripe old age of 30 and she will be missed by those who knew her. She was a special horse to a little girl and her memory will always live on, we were so glad to have the privilege of being together for 18 years. On to greener pastures, until we meet again Kaliko.

Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek of what has been going on in the studio. I'm working on two of these saddles made of this style and they are built to fit the Strapless mold by Breyer. 

Next step is to make a few seats.

New Website

We are pleased to launch the Yellow Bird Acres website 2.0 this 14th day of July 2015. While not a complete revamp, there is a lot more information on this new site, including info about tack and customs at Yellow Bird Acres. Finished a new saddle recently, it is a Classic scale all-purpose two toned english saddle built to fit the Classic Warmblood Mare mold.
